Museum with a surface area of 33,700 m2 (6,300 dedicated to exhibits) situated at the foot of Mount Tibidabo.

Abantia has carried out:

• Electrical installations (high and low voltage).
• Security system comprised of the following subsystems:
  • Volumetric, magnetic contact anti-intruder system, at 450 individually identifiable points.
  • Access and visitor control system (internal), with close to 80 doors controlled by proximity-reading technology, including the escape door management system.
  • Security intercom at points controlled by Access Control.
  • CCTV comprised of 24 high-speed “dome” cameras and 54 conventional fixed and minidome cameras.

The system is controlled through a computer system, one 48 input video switch matrix, digital video recorder and 1 perimeter motion detection control system using image analysis from exterior cameras.

• System integration comprised of a computer system and corresponding software to manage all the security subsystems and carry out interactions between them, as well as displaying plans of the alarm points on the computer monitors.
• The access system, through top of the range turnstiles linked to the ticketing system, is comprised of readers which allow access to the enclosure for the general public.
• Installations control system which allows the supervision and management of the electrical systems through a central computer, as well as the interactive thematic modules which form part of the museum.
• Audiovisual systems in the exhibition halls and interactive modules.
