The luxury hotel, located at Passeig de Gràcia, number 132, beside Diagonal Avenue, Barcelona, was constructed between 1908 and 1911 by the Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and unites the Venetian Classical and Gothic, two vastly different architectural styles.

The hotel has 105 rooms and suites, 11 rooms equipped with the latest audiovisual technology for meetings and conventions, the “Gourmet” restaurant, the “Salon Vienés” bar, business facilities, swimming pool, boutique, fitness centre, terrace, viewing level, solarium and car-park.

In 2004, it obtained the category of "Five-star Grand Luxury Monument”, the first establishment in Barcelona to do so.
