Forum Barcelona Building and pergolas

Barcelona

Back

The Forum Building, located at the final intersection of Diagonal Ave. and the Rambla Prim, was the main home of the Forum of Cultures, and the centre of attention of this international event.

The Forum Barcelona 2004 occupied a surface area of 320,000 m2 and had the capacity for 79,200 people.

A constructed area of 22,000 m2.

The Forum Building, the most emblematic of the architectural set, is situated on one side of the enclosure and its triangular shape is integrated perfectly into its surroundings.

It contains an auditorium with a capacity of 3,200.

It is fitted with systems such as: fire detectors, automatic extinguishers in special zones, anti-trespass and video surveillance systems. All these systems are computer-controlled from the control centre, allowing the building centralized supervision, including the remote control of all systems.

The equipment supplied contains the most advanced technology, such as variable position fire detectors and “dome" cameras, offering the building the highest levels of security.

Moreover, given its peculiar structure and innovative concept, the Forum Building is destined to become one of the icons of the Barcelona of the future.
