Major projects
In 2003 the Joint Venture ABANTIA INSTALACIONES - EMTE and INSTALACIONES INABENSA carried out the work and installations for remodelling the power station at Barcelona Airport.
The project was carried out in 5 action areas: underground connections from the Prat de Llobregat E.R., a group of medium voltage cells, a 5930 Kva electrogen group and two no-break groups of 1500 Kvas.
In 2004 the Joint Venture ABANTIA INSTALACIONES, CRESPO Y BLASCO and INSTALACIONES INABENSA was awarded the contract to fit the energy installations at the new airport terminal. The project consists in the installation of 46 transformer stations distributed throughout the building, and their low voltage switchboards. Also included in the project is the wiring connecting all of the stations.
In 2005 the Joint Venture ABANTIA INSTALACIONES, CRESPO Y BLASCO and INSTALACIONES INABENSA won the contract to supply and assemble the emergency floor equipment comprising: three 5,950 Kva generator groups, the corresponding protective and start-up equipment, transformers and cabins.
In 2007 the Joint Venture Abantia Sistemas y Telecom - Indra was awarded the project to install the management and control system at the new South Terminal at Barcelona Airport.
The new building, with a surface area of 525,000 m2, has a capacity to serve a total of 25,000,000 passengers a year.
The installed system is capable of managing and controlling all equipment and installations at the terminal, including:
