In a temporary joint venture with Comsa Medio Ambiente, Abantia is constructing a plant for the treatment and reduction of excess slurry from the farms of the area in Miralcamp (Lerida), with a treatment capacity of 110,000 Tn/year and a continuous operation system of 8,150 hours a year.
The Valpuren© process consists in purifying and stabilising slurry by means of anaerobic digestion, followed by its physical and chemical treatment by means of the mechanical and thermal concentration of the spent slurry, obtaining a solid organic and mineral end product that can be used as base fertiliser. The plant will come online in March 2009.
