Abantia Instalaciones y Seguridad has carried out extension work on Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, in Palma de Mallorca.

Sant Joan de Déu Hospital for the Elderly is located at Passeig Cala Gamba, 35 in Palma de Mallorca. Founded in 1955 as a children’s hospital, Sant Joan de Déu has evolved with a series of objectives:
 

• To respond to the continuous changes in society and maintain its tradition for care.
• In the 21st century it became a Hospital for the Integral Care of the Elderly.

The new annex building has been constructed next to the existing installations, occupies a surface area of 8,000 m² and has 3 units of 20 rooms each, a day hospital for 25 people, a rehabilitation gym with swimming pool for hydrotherapy and underground parking with 94 places.

The new facility is an addition to the services previously offered by Sant Joan de Déu Hospital which, in an area of 6,200 m², comprises 107 beds, 2 operating theatres including a mobile operating theatre that does not require admittance to the hospital, a day hospital with 25 places, a cafeteria, a rehabilitation gym, a pharmacy and a laboratory.
